Altar Guild
Holy Communion renews us and is a cornerstone of our faith.
The Altar Guild is a rewarding ministry that aids in this sacred part of the service. Members serve in the Lord's house and share the common desire of serving the Triune God lovingly and faithfully, by tending his altar and beautifying his Chancel.

The Guild strives to create a spiritually enlightening atmosphere where worshipers can celebrate God's blessings each week. This involves preparing the sanctuary for Holy Communion, caring for the linens, tending the eternal light, ordering the appropriate supplies, preparing communion vessels, and changing paraments to reflect the Church season. Members also set-up for special holidays, weddings, baptisms and funerals.

This ministry offers an insider's look at what goes into the liturgy, while offering a small gift of invaluable service to the whole community. If you have an interest in joining this group of servants, please contact Kim Stelling.
Altar Flowers
A special way to show someone you care, while also contributing to the beautification of our sanctuary, is to place flowers on the altar. The cost per arrangement is $35 and the flowers are yours to take following the late service. There is a flower chart in the cloak room off the Narthex to sign up on and beside that chart are envelopes on which you can write what you want to appear in the bulletin. You can also contact Sarah Schwarze in the office at 214-368-1371 or sarahs@orlcs.com.
