Careciples
Larry Hite Careciple: Named in memory of Larry Hite, a man of deep faith and a supportive church member, this careciple is a group of men and women who meet at 7:00 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month from September through May. Led by Ray Maturi, the group is currently viewing a DVD by Dr. Paul Maier called "The First Three Centuries of Christianity.” After study and discussion time, the group enjoys refreshment and fellowship. The Larry Hite Careciple meets at Bev Hite's home and invites all to come and proclaim God’s word with us.
Crofford Careciple: The Crofford Careciples have a 20-year history here at Our Redeemer. They meet the first Sunday, September through May, with a few exceptions (such as conflicts with the Superbowl). The group begins at 6:00 p.m. with friendly conversation followed by dessert. After fellowship, the study begins with a 25-minute DVD on Lutheran doctrine or worship followed by discussion. One of the annual highlights is a potluck Christmas dinner at the December meeting. The evening closes by 8:00 p.m. with prayer based on requests from those present. Members are predominately seniors; however, the group invites participation of any age.
The Good News Careciple: This is a new careciple group. This group was organized by Joyce Niebes and is being led by Dale McCall. It is open to all and meets on the third Sunday of the month at 6:30 p.m., September through May. Currently, the book of Galatians is being studied, with participation and discussion by the group. The study is opened and closed with prayer. Bible study lasts approximately an hour and is followed by dessert and fellowship. The Good News Careciple is held in a group member's homes on a rotating schedule. The location will be announced monthly in the church bulletin and the Trumpeteer. The goup invites all to join us as we study God's Word.
