From the Principal

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.  1 Thessalonians 5:11

As we begin another school year – our 51st year – our theme for the year concentrates on encouragement and support.  It is always so much easier to tear each other down and focus on the negative things in life.  Our hope this year is to help train our students and each other to focus on the positive things the Lord has blessed each of us with and to help each other see the positive in ourselves and our peers.  We always have high expectations for the children, parents and teachers at our Christian school.  The unfortunate part is that we are all still sinners, and must work hard to encourage and build each other up!  Pray for all of us as we work towards improving during this school year.

Thanks to a very generous gift from an ORLS grandparent, we have acquired new Mimio Boards in the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade classrooms.  These are interactive white boards that are used by teachers and students to enhance the learning experience at Our Redeemer.  We are looking forward to adding Mimios to 1st, 2nd, and Spanish in the next few months thanks to a special gift from a former school family.  This is a very exciting time in our school.  The staff attended a day of training on the Mimios prior to the start of school and they are all very excited to have this wonderful new piece of technology in the classroom.  The Mimios are very special gifts and we truly appreciate these generous donors!
