Our Beliefs
Our congregation holds to a shared confession of Jesus Christ as taught in Holy Scripture.
Our faith extends beyond our weekly service. We know that at the end of the service, Jesus does not just go back to heaven and we back to our daily routines. Instead, Christ goes with us. In everything we do we strive to live according to God's Word, depending on Christ's help to do so. Above all, we do our best to bring Christ to others.
Our Doctrine
Our Lord, through Martin Luther, focused our attention on three short phrases: Grace alone, Faith alone, Scripture alone. Our congregation holds to a shared confession of Jesus Christ, as taught in Holy Scripture. These beliefs are outlined in these confessions of faith:
  • The Lutheran Confessions contained in the Book of Concord: The Confessions of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, were put into writing by church leaders during the 16th century.
  • The cornerstone of these is Luther's Small Catechism. The Augsburg Confession gives a more detailed explanation of Lutheran theology.
