Services cancelled due to weather!

Dear Members and Friends of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church,

Given the likelihood of severe weather and unsafe road conditions, we have decided to cancel services for this coming Transfiguration Sunday, January 25. A link to a recording of a previous year’s Transfiguration Service will be made available in the weekly newsletter.

We pray that our heavenly Father would keep us safe in our homes and watch over and protect those whose labors on our behalf place them in harm’s way.

Epiphany Announcement

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

By God’s mercy, as we rejoice in the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, we also announce to you the joy of the resurrection of this same Savior.

Septuagesima Sunday will be observed on February 1. Ash Wednesday, marking the beginning of the holy season of Lent, will be on February 18.

On April 5, we will celebrate with great joy the holy Easter of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Ascension of our Lord will be on May 14, and the Feast of Pentecost on May 24.

On November 29, we will begin the season of Advent with its first Sunday, as we prepare again for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, to whom be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

Upcoming New Member Class

What Lutherans Believe

The next Adult Instruction Class begins the first week of February. This 7-week class will be held online via Zoom and is for those who (1) want to know what Lutherans believe, (2) are interested in membership, or (3) would simply like to grow in their knowledge and understanding of God’s Word.
